Terms and conditions for using Balti Logistika services
Validity of price offer
The price offer is valid until the next offer, but not longer than price offer valid date. The price offer is valid, if the initial information on which it is based is adequate and true. If actual cargo characteristics differ from what is marked in the price offer, the total cost will be re-calculated per actual data.
Cost
VAT is not included to the rates.
Fuel and security surcharges of the airlines may change. We suggest to re-check levels before placing the order.
If the Service Fee or any other fees or charges indicated in the Order Confirmation or the Offer are based on costs or other components in other currencies than the invoicing currency, then the final amount of the Service Fee or any other fees or charges may be subject to changes due to conversion of the applicable sum to the invoicing currency on the date when Consignment is handed over to the Carrier or when the Client receives the invoice, whichever occurs earlier. The currency exchange reference rates of the European Central Bank are used. If the invoicing currency is not featured in the European Central Bank database, Balti Logistika has the right to apply the currency exchange rates from another public database in its sole discretion.
Payment
For all services it is possible to pay by bank transfer before shipping or delivery of the goods. Credit terms are only available for customers who have a valid Customer Agreement with Balti Logistika.
Terms of cancellation
The consignor has a right to refuse the ordered carriage until the time when the Balti Logistika starts to fulfil the order. If the Balti Logistika has started to execute the order and the order is cancelled, then Balti Logistika is entitled to get compensation which would cover his reasonable costs, but not more than the amount of agreed carriage charge.
Chargeable weight
In air freight the weight and volume ratio is 1 cbm = 167 kg.
In road freight the weight and volume ratio is 1 cbm = 333 kg and 1 LDM = 1850 kg.
In sea feight the weight and volume ratio is 1 cbm = 1000 kg.
In railway transport the weight and volume ratio is 1 cbm = 700 kg.
The bigger one (chargeable weight) will be the basis for price calculation.
Carrier´s liability
In air freight the carrier’s liability is up to SDR 22.00 per gross weight.
In road freight the carrier’s liability is up to SDR 8.33 per gross weight.
In sea freight the carrier’s liability is up to SDR 2.00 per gross weight.
In railway transport the carrier’s liability is up to SDR 2.00 per gross weight.

Balti Logistika is not responsible for airline bookings and alterations made in them.
All forwarding tasks are executed in compliance with the General Conditions of the Estonian Freight Forwarders Association (EFFA) valid from August 1st, 2000 or its latest version. The rules for instance limit the liability of our company in case of damage and give us a lien on goods in our charge as a guarantee for ordered services and forwarding expenses.
